The New York Rangers will be without one of their goalies for the foreseeable future.
Jonathan Quick has been placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury, according to The Athletic's Peter Baugh.
Quick has appeared in six games this season, collecting three wins and one shutout. He has a 1.77 goals-against average and is boasting a .944 save percentage.
The 39-year-old doesn't see much action, with Igor Shesterkin typically manning the crease in New York.
The Rangers sit eighth in the Metropolitan at 11-11-2. They next play on Wednesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.
